Have you ever wondered about a new product and if it actually works?  I get this question asked over and over at markets and craft shows. And honestly, I love it.

It's probably the main reason you are reading this now.  When you are new to using any product, in this case beard oil, you want to know the "why before you buy". 

So the simple answer is, yes beard oil does work. And the reason "why" might surprise you.

DOES BEARD OIL ACCELERATE BEARD GROWTH?

I get this question a lot and and it is a confusing one since so many companies have products that claim this.  One for instance is Derma rolling.  I think this is a huge no-no because when used incorrectly (and most do) it actually can cause a lot more damage to the skin and infection/injury to your skin.

The simple answer is most carrier oils DO NOT accelerate beard growth.

The key here is most.

Over the last few years we are finally getting some scientific data to suggest there are a few carrier oils when combined with certain essential oils that can promote and wake up dormant hair follicles!!!  This is very cool and promising in our industry!!!  More studies are needed but some early research has shown to be very positive.

Have you ever examined a product label to check its ingredients? Well you should on everything you are putting on or into your body.

Companies, including ours, are legally required to list our ingredients in order of concentration.

So make sure to find a beard oil with high concentrations of organic cold pressed oils (plant based).  We prefer using Golden Jojoba Oil as it most resembles our skin, Abyssinian and a few other key oils.

HIGH QUALITY BEARD OIL, DOES THIS MATTER?

Quality is a term frequently used when purchasing products. How do you evaluate the quality of a product?

Is it based on recommendations, reviews, or information provided by the company? Here are some considerations for assessing beard oil quality:

Ask how the beard oils are manufactured. Are they made in a clean environment?  Safety gloves and all?  But the most important is using the products and seeing how they work for you!
